Search engine result page hijacking
Recently, I came across an article in slashdot about the 302 page hijacking, I was not aware of this before until I try to search my name on yahoo! link It seems that such page hijacking is evolved to another generation. Instead of redirecting you to another page which the end-user will get annoyed and notice that there is something wrong, they show you an advertisment, while the page still look legitimate. Why would the spammer choose my page?
- My page rank is low and it is easier for them to convince the search engine that their page is more authoratative than my personal page hosted in UCLA
- My page is popular and there is commerical value showing ads :D

Hey Richard, Your this post message is well received. I am just out searching for information on Search Engine Position and related and ended up on your blog. Although I'm not an avid "blogger", I have decided to save yours and come back since the information provided has substance.
